Some excellent news for those of us from England who are desperate to be able to travel more freely to and back from Portugal (or indeed other countries on the quarantine list).
At present anyone coming into England from Portugal needs to quarantine for 14 days.
From 15th December 2020 there will be the option to have a private COVID test on day 5 and assuming it is negative you are then free to leave quarantine. This should open up the possibility of a holiday for many more people.
Rules in other parts of the UK are still under review.
